This is a game i've been looking for a very long time, never thought one would pop up on craigslist right near me in amazing condition! Sky Raider I believe is among the very first vertical scrolling arcade games and had some pretty impressive graphics for the time. The interior components are shiny clean.

The main pcb had a minor problem that was fixed by Bill Stillwell (ki4swy) in a jiffy, a new big blue and a cap kit on the old Motorola monitor and it's playing wonderful again.

Wow that thing is sweet. Is it disorienting to play at all? Just watching a vid of it now made me feel like it might make for a need to take to breaks.

Awesome find. Yeah they did come up with a clever display trick for this I thought. Would love to play it sometime.

Nice find !

I worked for a guy many, many years ago who had one of these and a Destroyer in
his arcade. No Starship 1 though. I had to go over to Asbury Park to play that one.

John, I don't suppose you have any old pics of the 2 arcades in the Seaview Square Mall in Ocean, NJ from the 1980's? Aladdin's and Gadgets. Been looking forever for any old pics of those 2 arcades but nothing. Gadgets especially since only a handful were built. Or any old 1980's NJ arcade pics since I also frequented the Asbury boardwalk back then.

Look forward to playing it at Freeplay

Of course this will be at Free Play Florida! I hope to see a collection of video games that will rival the likes of CAX this year you guys!

Sky Raider is awesome!

This is the first arcade video game that I remember being hooked on!
Great graphics for the era, cool 3-D-ish effect, immersive cabinet!

Congratulations!

Afraid not. By the time I ever went into that mall those arcades were
gone. There was a place in there briefly called Fun Time USA (I think) but
I don't know which location they went into.

I'm planning on having Mystic Marathon ready for Freeplay. I know how much everyone loves it. :p
