So long story as short as I can make it, bought a game doa found out it needed a new monitor did that, game booted got a beautiful screen but it's missing alot of the graphics. bought a eprom programer and went through each chip and verified against mame dump found 1 bad eprom and another that didn't match, replaced bad eprom and reburned the one that wouldn't verify, was excited and couldn't wait to try it(machine is 60 minutes away) tried it and the dam thing wouldn't boot got rom error at this location I tried every rom dump I could find for that location same thing everytime I bought another working cartridge and copied that chip and put it in mine and the game now boots again but has the same problems missing graphics alot of them. I pulled the board and verified every chip against the working board they were all correct, I check the 5 volts at both points on the board and they are good? where too now?

Thanks

Thanks but guys I already have two I don't need anymore I want to learn how to fix mine. If you read my post I bought another working one to fix my broken one, that didn't work so I'm asking if anyone knows why.

I would start with the ar rebuild kit just so your certain your not chasing your tail on the pcb. Also check around the rom you thought was bad and see if any of the customs are getting really hot.

Lastly. Check your power brick. The big blue in mine leaked all over the inside of the brick, not sure if thats common with these or not. Depending on your budget you may just want to get 2 new big blues from bob while your at it.
