Atari Road Runner

Never played this game is it any good?? Any feedback appreciated

Music is great, Hall Effect Joystick is great once you get the feel for it (and it's working properly). Graphics are awesome. Gameplay is challenging and a bit repetitive. Overall, a sweet ambiance machine, if not a great replay machine. The attract mode and background landscapes scream Looney Toons, so that kinda rocks. The game is hard though.

If all goes well I'll play it tonight for the first time. I rebuilt a k4600 last night to drop into this system 1. The g07 in it needs a flyback and hot. I need to order those tomorrow from bob

I wasn't impressed with the game but nobody died and made me god, at the very least you'll have a good System 1 cab that can be adapted to something like Marble Madness, Indiana Jones or Road Blasters.

It's a pretty fun game. Not the best system 1 game in my opinion, but still good.

The laser disc version of this game was SO much better. The use of cut scenes to actual WB cartoon footage of the coyote getting hit by a truck, etc., etc., was pretty entertaining. Unfortunately Atari scrapped the LD version before it was released and later revamped the game on System 1 hardware.
