I am restoring a 4 player Atari Football and I am needing help with the wiring on the power brick. It doesn't have the bridge rectifier like my Tempest does, it has a rectifier board screwed down to the big blue. The wires going to the board were not attached, so I have no idea which wire goes to which side. Does anyone have any pictures of an Atari power brick with the rectifier board? Thanks in advance!!

The side that has the connection from the banded side of the diodes goes to the positive side of big blue. The side that doesn't connect to the diodes goes to the negative side of big blue.

make sense?

No, here is a pic...I have one orange wire coming from F2 and one from F3 and one lone violet wire coming from the transformer. I figure the violet wire connects with the rest of them on the big blue, but which orange wire goes to the negative and which goes to the positive?

Yep, actually have that in a hard copy, but it does not refer to the wiring of a power supply with a rectifier board for the 4 player. The 2 player version has a rectifier board as well (I have one of these in the garage), but it is very different. I have scoured the internet looking for a picture to refer to and haven't found anything...

Great thanks!! So, according to the schematics, F2 goes to the positive and F3 goes to the negative. Hey, BTW I saw in your signature you are looking for an Atari Baseball. I do have 2 control panels (sans trackballs) for Atari Baseball if you are interested.

It looks like F2 and F3 both go to the positive side of one of the diodes.
The 2 orange wires from the fuses go to the non-banded side of the diode (the other side of the board from where big blue connects. It doesn't matter which orange wire goes to which diode.

tempting on the baseball panels.. I have the board, i was going to make a kind of multi-game until I find a baseball cab.

cheers

Yeah I realized that both go to the positive, I just meant one goes towards the right and one goes towards the left (negative & positive).

I got the control panels with the 2 player and 4 player Atari football cabs...not sure if I am going to restore the 2 player or not since the 4 player is in great shape, the game plays blind except the monitor just shows a blank picture. Got to break out the voltmeter this weekend and test some things...

Thanks for all of your help!!
