Hi guys!

I found an Atari Outlaw in really great shape that had been stored for about 20 years and who knows before that (Ontario, Canada). People seemed pretty excited when one showed up in Australia a while ago, and I couldn't find any video of a real machine on YouTube so I thought I should document.

I made a video here, let me know if anyone has any questions about the machine!

Amazing that there's still hidden gems to find in Ontario. Thanks for the vid.

very cool, never seen this one before and it looks like i would suck at playing it

coin door appears to match the early cinematronics doors - ripoff, tailgunner ...

thanks for posting

That's fantastic, Callan. Definitely thanks for sharing, what a sweet score. It's in incredible condition. That artwork all looks great. The animation of th egunfighters is more advanced than I would expect from that period, especially when compared with Gun Fight. How is the cabinet itself? Any water issues? Asking from seeing the inside the coin door.

Hmm well the bottom of both sides bows out a little bit, paint is a bit wrinkled so it's possible there was some water damage. See pictures. It's quite slight.

I'll do a thread in for sale/trade, but this machine is up for grabs (pick up near Oshawa Ontario, could possible deliver in the GTA), I don't think I have room for it inside.

Looks very similar, but I think the Ripoff coin door has roller return, not doors like the Outlaw.

I like machines like that, they really fit the whole gunfight / boot hill saloon dynamic. You don't see them often either! Really cool that you saved it!

That side bow is MDF swell. It could be from simple excess humidity (in Canada, I'm not sure how that works, but I can't rule it out). MDF sponges up moisture and expands.

I don't like MDF.

down here in the insanely humid south we would think that looked damn good for a 45 year old machine

and i don't like MDF either

Really neat find, and it's in remarkable condition based on it's age. If you still have it I would love to see a complete game played through.

Does it really have two speakers in that odd placement?
