I have an unusual B & W Atari game called Orbit. Game is working and in very good condition. Have grown tired of the game and I'm thinking about selling to make room for something else (probably another vector...) Haven't seen one come up for sale in many years. What do you think she's worth?

It's worth at least $200 in cone buttons alone!

At least I'm not the only one that loves those. There's one that's been hacked onto the Space Shuttle pin I bought as a "add credit" button, lol. Too bad they decided to put it right on the coin door... >_<

Amen! I think there's 24 cone buttons on this beast. Pretty cool game but after 5 years I'm ready to let her go.

I'm interested. I love the old B&W (my Sky Diver is my fave game - never gonna sell it).
No idea what to offer you for it however. I'll be making a run to Brett's in Ohio in Sept and would grab it then, if it could wait.

Either way... cool game that looks awesome.

I'd buy it in a heartbeat if you were in the Seattle area. This game is a raster copy of Cinematronics Space War(s), which is one of my favorite games.

Obscure black and white games like this usually sell in the $150 to $250 range around here, and that is with two collectors (myself and Blinddog) vying for them. I'd assume they sell for slightly less in areas without the competition...

At the height of the hobby, I remember one getting $600 on ebay. I doubt it would get that much now. $400-300 is not unreasonable.

Nothing... in fact they're illegal to own so I'll be by later today to releave you of the liabilities of possessing one! :D

Seriously, it looks damn cool whatever it's worth, in minty shape too! What's the gameplay like?

I've seen and played the game in person, it is pretty cool. A little smaller than your average cab so it should be easy to ship. The game is in great shape and seeing all those buttons on one CP is funky. Hope it finds a good home.

If I didn't have one already, we'd be talking about shipping this... Someone else mentioned that it is a raster version of Space War and it is, but with more play options such as space stations to repair and rearm your ship. It's an awesome, but pretty much unknown, b/w game. I picked mine up in the late 90's and have only seen one other since then so yours is #3. I'm sure there are more out there but where? They never seem to come up for sale. I've taken mine to CAX a couple times in the past but it did not get much play probably due to the massive number of buttons and no play instructions. People probably did not know how to play it or what to do.

An interesting bit of trivia is that the ship shapes are of the original Star Trek Enterprise and a Klingon ship. It 's a very small cabinet. In the pic it's sitting next to my Zaxxon caberet and it's a bit shorter, but a bit wider as well. I wish the marquee lit up though, that is my only disappointment about the game. It is silkscreened on metal so no hope of getting it to light.

That being said, I probably wouldn't sell mine for less than 1K because I don't want to sell it. If I did want to sell it, probably priced around 350 - 500 for it working and in nice shape. Here's a pic of mine... (the screen is really very bright - the flash washed it out)

There was one at the Winston-Salem auction a couple of years ago. About the time that cone buttons were selling for good money. I considered getting it to scavenge the buttons from and bust up the cabinet in the parking lot, but I had a little preservationist heart that day.

I think it went for $50.

ACK!!! Thank God you didn't do that!

A friend of mine has one for sale. Anyone interested? It is working 100% with a good picture. I don't think it's quite as nice as the one in Spacewar's pix but I haven't looked too closely at it either so it may be as nice?? PM me if your seriously interested, I'm sure his price is in the ballpark mentioned in this thread, I'll find out more for anyone interested.

That thing is sweet! I remember seeing SpaceWar's game and it is killer. I am real tempted to make an offer and ship that thing here. Must resist...
