Atari Lunar Lander bezel dimensions

well that tinted glass is going cost yaz at least $80 as well Id bet
to follow up I took a Tempest glass down to my glass guy today
and the Tint is "Gray#14" and only comes in 1/4"
I will be adding LL, Tempest, StarWars, and cystal castles just name name a few to the site this week, for those that dont have a local option.

Ill also be adding a clear option for LL along with other clear stock glass
for things like System 1 &2, Rotj, etc.

I just got a price of about 10 euro for clear glass, 4 mm. thick.....

I have also asked for anti-glare glass. Not the kind you have to put directly on a picture.
Let's see if they have it and what it costs.

I'll stick with clear as that was original on LL. It also prevents having to "turn up" the brightness

I have clear plexi on mine, looks good

I don't think clear was original to North American LL cabinets. I've always seen tinted.
So is this the specs for NA LL ?
599mm W x 490mm H
3mm thick (1/8")
"Gray#14"
And was original plexi or glass?

AFAIK there were only USA built LL's.
The German flyer I mention pictures one with the white insides but the bezel looks clear to me:

You can easily see the contrast between the screen and the black cardboard bezel, a tinted bezel would hide that.
I admit that the US flyer shows a much darker bezel area, but that might just as well be lighting set-up when taking the picture.

Also: the Asteroids bezel is clear too (apart from the graphics of course) which at least hints to the LL being clear as well.
It is fair to assume that Atari had the remaining stack of LL bezels screen printed with the Ateroids graphics during the switch to Asteroids production....

Zinfer, where did you find the "Gray #14" info about the LL bezel? Rich mentions it but it is for the Tempest, not LL.

I must also add that the last Lunar Lander I saw (before getting mine) was at least 30 years ago and also that on most pictures I see on the net that it looks like they all have tinted bezels...

On my LL and Asteroids I have to bend the perspex / plexi to even get it in there, it kind of "clicks in"

Not sure how glass will go, not sure how it will stay in place, I mean. You might have to add a few little brackets to stop it falling forward

I've been at a friends' home arcade a while back and it was 'clearly' a smoked bezel. Not sure if it were glass or not though.
I believe the topic I'm in states 'Atari Lunar Lander bezel dimensions'. I gathered from what Rich was saying that LL was gray #14 - otherwise - why would I care what color a Tempest is.
I also was on Rich's site and you had a choice of clear or smoked. I believe what Rich was saying was that it was the same color as Tempest. Which was gray #14.
