Atari lockout coil 99-15041 is it available anywhere

Has anyone ever replaced a lockout coil # 99-15041?

If so where in the world did you find it?

If anyone has one laying around I could use it for my restoration currently underway.
Thanks

I've got a drawer full of lockout coils but don't know if they are Atari or not and don't know if they work or not. Probably have some I can pull off a coin door somewhere that has had the shit kicked out of it. Got any photos of one to match it up? What does it fit?

Its for my Warlords restoration but I think other games usded the same coin door.

Here it is in the manual

I've got some.....you need the screw, spring, flap?? Any of the other stuff?

Edward

Just the coil itself really but I would take a spring if you have extra, I have the rest of the stuff
Thanks

I should have 2. I was actually about to make a post asking what they were when you first posted. If you don't hear from me on Saturday, PM me.

Stupid newbie question. ;)

What is the purpose of this coil and is it really necessary?

The reason I ask is that I picked up an Asteroids Deluxe, and it is missing these - but I didn't think that they are really necessary to the operation of the unit. Am I correct in thinking that they just disable the coin slots (for some reason)?

Thanks,

Not needed unless you plan on taking qtrs. It locks out the coin mech when the power is off, so qtrs drop into the return.

If someone is dumb enough to put a qtr in a machine that isn't on, their loss.
