I've been working on all sorts of interesting reproduction projects as of late. I just finished drawing up the Atari "logo" stick handle. I was always bothered by the NOS handles and how the logo wasn't defined very well. Here's my version of the logo stick handle. I still need to tweak the font a little, but this will give you an idea of the impact of the logo and font I'm trying to get.

I need comments before I decide to run them off.

This is what you do on a saturday night? :D
apparently I'm not much better as I'm sitting here commenting on it on a saturday night...
by the way, looks awesome!

I will consider it, but it's not really part of my master plan right now.

I'm trying to put all of my energy into Atari-only repro's right now. I do have several non-Atari repro's I've started and I will complete them, but I'm not too inclined to add anymore right now.

Small injection molded parts are pretty easy, so I'll keep it in mind.

Dave

If you can do injection molding, will you consider making the midway plastic coin slots?

To be honest, I'd be excited about an Atari style knob on a shaft that would fit into a Happ Super or something like that. I have original Atari leaf switchjoysticks on my Gauntlet, which is used infrequently, and something is always going wrong with them.

You bring up a really good point.

I need some more input on this subject. What joystick bases would you like to see these Atari Logo sticks work with? I have no idea what the hot ticket joystick type is these days. I'm living in the past, apparently. LOL

Anyhow, right now would be the best time to work on this. I can make special shafts which can mate the Atari Logo stick to specific joystick types. BTW, I never would have thought of this. Thanks for the idea.

I agree with the previous poster in that I'd like something that fit into the happ joys because I can't stand leaf contacts, but I understand from a purist standpoint that if you're doing a repro you should do it as it originally was... Both perhaps? :)
