I tried this before a few years back but didn't get too many images in response. I have an Irish Asteroids Deluxe, and the marquee is very different from the American version. Does anyone else have a confirmed Irish Atari Cabinet? If so, how does your marquee differ from it's American counterpart? Or does it differ at all? I am looking for nice images/pics of the Irish marquees from any Atari games you may have. Here's my Irish AD:

And it's American counterpart:

I have serious doubts that that "Irish" one is an original.....but usually bootlegs didn't have the Atari logo....mmm.

OK my Irish marquees:

Video Pinball (don't know if it is any different):

Centipede (as I found it):

I have an Irish Asteroids Deluxe just like Phet has and the marquee looks exactly like his does. I didn't think it did, but I went down and took a second look to be sure.

Mine also has the stainless steel coin door and the CPO has a darker shade of red in some of the colored boxes.

Why do you doubt it is original? This is screened to the same thick plexi as the American version, has the Atari Logo and rev numbers. I take it you've never seen one like this before?

You should get a pic, maybe seeing 2 of them will erase doubt? Also what does your side art look like? You should shoot a nice pic of that too. I'd love to compare it to mine.

Gee, I think that the two AD's I played here in Europe (one in the UK, the other in Germany) were US machines....I can only remember that marquee.

So I was clearly mistaken. I'll see if I can dig up some pics of those two machines.

I will see if I can't take and post a few pics tonight.

Side Art might be a bit of a problem as it sits in a difficult area to take a picture of that, but I will try. I haven't even looked at the side art to see if there was any differences.

This is the one in the UK, not a direct shot, but it's clearly a US marquee:

BUT here's the one from Germany and indeed this has the Irish marquee:

Sorry for being asleep ;)

No problem. You had me worried for like a second and a half when I heard the term 'bootleg'. I was like bootleg? Shiiiiiiit. Not here. Not us. No way.

Here are pics of mine. I tried to get a good pic of the side art but it's a little difficult to get a good angle on it right now.

Another thing I noticed was the red color on the control panel was different than the repro CPO's from arcade shop which were more orange. Rich at This Old Game used to have a repro that looked closer to these but I don't see it listed on his site anymore.

I have an Irish Asteroids at my shop right now. The art is similar to US, but the colors are more vibrant on the sideart, and the art is applied to the cabinet with more of a vinyl material than the US version.
