I have an Atari Hoop it Up game that I need to change to free play. Does anyone know how to set that? I didn't get a manual with the game and don't have time to buy one. I have it going out this wed and need to set it to free play.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Michael

you also will need to figure a way to bypass the ticket dispensers otherwise it will continously say "please call attendant"

my friend has a few he operates and does not use the ticket dispenser. If you can't find a manual I am sure he has one. I will ask when I see him..

atari made a proto hoop it up that was self redemption. hit a score and dropped a prize.

I bought the game used. Very cool game. I do party rentals and dont see myself ever using the coin mechs or ticket dispensers.

I need to set them to free play so they dont have to add quarters all day.

Also we play the game all the time at the shop. There are no tickets in it and it works fine. Never asks us to add tickets to the dispenser.

I actually have to deliver it on tuesday, So if your friend has it that would be GREAT!!!

After reading the manual. it says dont set the perameters to 0 coins. I figure that would turn it to free play. So do I set them all to 0? am I missing something?

I think they said it like that so that an operator would not inadvertently set it to freeplay.
Or it may confuse other coin settings if one were to be set to 0. (like 5 games = 0 coins)
They should all match respectively...1 game 1 coin, 2 games 2 coins, 3 games 3 coins, etc, etc.

So yeah.... I would at least set 1 Play to 0 coins and see what happens.

Not sure how this will affect any kind "attract mode" it may have though. (beings it may think it's always coined up)

If you cant set the thing to freeplay with software/hardware then add a buch button switch behind each coin reject button. WIre that to the coin switch.

SO when the kids press the coin reject button, it will "coin up" the machine
