I have the old Atari "rollerball" 2 player football. Last time I had it plugged in the this past summer the screen was working fine. I recently moved to a new house and now the unit powers on but the screen is all white. Could this be something simple here (disconnected/loose wire) or am I in for a world of hurt?

Thanks!

break out the mainual and locate the power supply. On it you can check for a +5 vdc. and make adjustments as needed. You need that to the board but start at the PS first.

If something stops working and it was moved since it last worked, I go through and reseat connectors, etc. Loose connections are not always the problem, but they certainly can be. Good luck finding the problem. After all that, I would start with the power supply. :D

Seems it may be a fuse. Their was a "loose" fuse. After playing with it the screen started working. Looks like the inside casing is loose in the fuse case as it went out a couple times then back on after taking the fuse out and reseating it.

Are these fuse casings hard to come by?

Like most B&W ataris, the +5V is generated by a regulator on the board, not supplied to the board.

Be sure the fuse is completely locked in. My Atari has fuse holders that take quite a bit of push in then rotate to lock. THe fuse holders I'm talking about are the type that look like a knob, they usually have to be depressed to unlock and rotated counter clockwise to remove. hope this helps.
