I had someone offer me an Atari Football this evening for $30. It looks like the cabinet is solid, but aside from that, it's a conversion to (I think) donkey kong, and a super shitty one at that.

The trackballs and original CPs are missing, looks like someone bolted a plate over the top. The sideart is effed up and painted over. The guts are gone, the monitor's been swapped, the bezel is missing, dunno which one it has now.

It's definitely a 60-in-1 candidate, but is it worth considering a resto to original? Seems like the cost would be crazy. The CPO's alone are $100 a pair and the game appears to suck from what I've seen.

Atari Football .... and the game appears to suck from what I've seen.

You really need to play one that's in good shape. It's a lot of fun and will physically wear you out after a few games.

I don't know if it's worth getting unless you've got the room to store it and the time to wait for a complete machine with a dead cab to show up as a parts donor.

XO 2 Player is a really fun game. A good cab is the second most important item as most of the parts are findable or have been repro'd.

The hard item to find will be the 23" monitor. A unique size for B&W monitor. Once you do find one, it will cost a bit to ship.

Yeah, sounds about like $30. Does the monitor come on? If it was converted to some knock off DK, it must be a color monitor. You might be able to make it into some sort of decent multi-cocktail. From the sound of things, you will probably want to sand it down and repaint it. Probably going to be a fairly major project.
