This was no easy feat! But I picked up the last Color Atari vector I needed yesterday, an amazing condition Black Widow. I was grinning from ear to ear on the way home, knowing that I had finally completed my collection. The hunt is over!

Once I started collecting arcades, it took me a little bit to realize that the 80's games meant the most to me (out went the Mortal Kombats).. and the Atari Vectors have everything as far as I'm concerned.. absolutely amazing art work, gameplay, and were exactly what I wanted to have in a collection. I love playing each and every one of them, they just don't get old to me. And nothing gives me the 80's arcade memories and vibes like the old Vectors!

Over the past year and a half, I had to search high and low to get these games- and all of them are in "great" shape, and they came from throughout the country, a necessary thing in order to complete my goal.

To give you an idea, my Major Havoc came from Enjoyvelvet in Maryland, my Gravitar from DJ_DNS in Virginia, and my Space Duel from Roburt in Ohio. These were all well worth shipping to my collection as they were all in very nice condition. And I drove 28 hours round trip to Maryland to pick up the Major Havoc :) Joe was a great guy and held to his word to sell me the machine as I was the first to inquire on it. Rorburt sold me the Space Duel at a great price so it would be reasonable enough for me to ship the machine to Florida also, a way cool thing to do. And after lots of coercing DJ_DNS to let me buy his collector quality Gravitar, he gave in! ;)

The rest were acquired within 2 hours of my home (lol). Oh, and the Quantum? From a non-collector 20 minutes from my house. On top of that, Todd and pRok have helped me keep my Vectors running and have been a huge help. Without KLOV, I would have never been able to accomplish this nor would half of my games be running. Thanks to everyone at KLOV that has helped me.. even the ones I forgot to mentioned- I greatly appreciate it.

Now I am still working on getting them all together in the same room, as my Space Duel is still in the garage (replacing a spliced cord at the moment) and my Tempest should get finished this week, I just need to clear some space and move a few games into my gym so all of the Vectors will be together.

I also have another Space Duel that I will be making into a Zektor multi so I can have as many Vectors I can all in one, namely the Sega's and B/W games.

Here's a few pics, I'm working on doing some painting and finishing up the decorating in the room over the next several weeks also (Pics when I'm done). This is not my entire collection, I have several games in my Gym and a few projects in the garage.. (of course)

Gravitar is mentioned but not shown, the rest of those are B/W ;)

Truly a magnificent accomplishment and collection. Shock and awe.:adore:

Err, Gravitar is on the far right in the first picture, it's one of my absolute favorites too, hence my avatar! :)

Not going to collect the B/W games, I'm sticking with the Color Vectors mainly due to space.

Nice spread....

I seem to recall there being a Reactor in Florida that some husband and wife were wanting to sell a few years ago, I wonder if that's the same one.

Re-stating this.. Done for ME. You bunch of wise guys! ;)

I'm getting close to being done with Atari and now I'm working on Sega. A Starcastle may be in my future soon too. I had to tease you some. It is a truly nice collection. Having Reactor, Major Havoc dedicated and Quantum in the same collection is quite a feat! You should call it an unobtanium collection.

Nice Collection. Thats what im doing. I have all the black and white atari vectors, and most of the color vectors. Im just missing Major Havoc and Black Widow.

Again Bravo nice collection!!:cool::cool:

I guess you will have to sell me that Disc of Tron to make room for the Tempest ;)
Nice game room, I still think you should collect all the b/w vectors also.

very nice vector collection. i've got to say, there aren't a whole ton of color vectors i plan on adding at this time, but i'd really like to get a black widow. very addictive and fun game.
