Are the small Atari cocktail table leg levelers available?

If not, is there a preferred replacement part?

And the small metal rectangular pieces on the bottom of the legs - do these need to be replaced also, or will new levelers fit without them?

I never found a source (I have a Missile Command that had none when I got it). After much fooling around I got out some old tools and figured out that the threading was for a #12 screw (I think it was #12-24).

The problem is that approximately NO ONE makes ANYTHING in a #12 anymore. What I ended up doing was picking up some levelers at Lowes/Home Depot that were threaded for 1/4-20 or some such, and then I tapped out the holes in the steel plates to that thread.

The little steel plates shouldn't be replaced unless absolutely necessary - among other things they appear to be spot welded on, so getting them off and getting new ones on might prove problematic, to say the least.

I did look at trying to use some larger levelers, but the bigger ones all have really long screws, which don't work in this application.

Good luck!

I just found a set at True Value hardware that were a perfect fit. The steel pads that contact the floor were slightly larger in diameter, but otherwise they were a nice drop in replacement. I agree, most stuff you find is 1/4 - 20 but the proper fitting stuff is out there.

I'm fascinated. Do you have a True Value part #?, or pic of the package? I've gone with 1/4-20 and a tap, but any crumb you can leave for the next guy will certainly help.

Ok, here are some pics:

The replacement is on the left. It may look like the threaded rod diameter is smaller, but that's an illusion--these are an exact fit. Notice that the new one has a shorter threaded section, but it doesn't matter when installed.

Here is the packaging (minus the feet). They came with plastic inserts (shown) which I did not use. I will try to post the part number later.

That would be awesome if you get a chance. My Asteroids cocktail is missing one leveler and I have been searching for these as well.

The ones I bought at Home Depot fit perfectly on my Asteroids, just the standard ones they carry. I'll try to find a package, I know I have an extra set or two.

I tapped mine out to fit a more common leg leveler. I went with 3/8 - 16 though.

arcadeshop.com has them (Atari cocktail leg end caps). They are a little loose (easy to knock out), but that's not a big deal.
