I'm working on a Xevious that has lived a hard life. I'm trying to clean the chips, but the legs are so bad that I can't seem to get one out without leaving a leg behind in the socket. I can probably fix most of them, but the 0702 chip @ 6N is just gone. One leg is broken off right @ the housing. Anyone know what games used the same chip, or where I could get one, or if there is an acceptable substitute?

Use a dremel tool and grind off some of the case next to that leg. once you have a bit of metal exposed solder on another leg. You could also permanently attach it to another socket to protect the repair.

I tried looking it up. Apparently Dig Dug has two of them. Atari 137193-001

Pole Position has one. Just going by the manuals.

I have them on my site if you can't fix yours.

They are on Dig Dug, Pole Position, Galaga, Bosconian, and many other boards.
