Was think of doing a line of solvent inkjet sideart for Atari cabarets
for those not diggin that woodgrain.
AD, Centipede, Battlezone, etc.

Any interest??
and which ones would be worthy other then the few allready mentioned??

i don't have any atari games right now, but as a thought, i think it would look cool if it was more a side art sticker that didn't cover all the woodgrain. i've seen that centipede recently that had full side art and it looked kind of goofy like those modern multigame cabs. having the woodgrain plus a little art looks cooler.

I would actually just like to find a good source for the woodgrain vinyl for the reproduction cab I am making for my Centipede parts. Not a huge fan of the woodgrain, but it is the way it is supposed to be I guess..... Will look good next to my Dig Dug.

I know it's not Atari but I'll throw the names of Sega's Turbo and Monaco GP out there, I'm looking for both sets and at least one other KLOV'er is looking for Turbo.

I vote do it like that good looking machine in the top photo. :D That is how the art was issued from Atari, my vote is stay true to that. Oh, I'm in for a set of Asteroids Deluxe, Missile Command and Centipede and I'll prepay if necessary. FYI, Atari made these pieces as two identical pieces. Read: the Centipede on my machine above faces forward on one side and backwards on the other. I would vote to do mirror images so both sides are facing forward. It would look better that way.

tempest all day!! i would even buy two just to prove a point!!!! finally someone who is looking out for the hobbiest!!

Huh?!? That is all Rich does is look out for the hobbyist.....Have you seen all the crazy projects he has taken on in the past year? I don't know how he has time to do any of them. Way more new projects then any of the other screen printers.

in no way was that directed towards rich! i have bought from him before and love and appreciate his work! it's just nice to see that people are willing to produce artwork that's sought after by collectors and help them enhance their collection. that's why i said i'd buy two sets of tempest just to prove that point! count me in on the tempest mini artwork it would be appreciated !!

How bout you keep coming up with things I'm going to want to spend my money on..

Seriously, I have a BZ mini project in decent shape, but all apart. Being that it's the 3/4" particle board, and had a rough life, the cabinet isn't in as nice of shape as I'd like. I've considered scratch building a new cabinet from MDF.

If I did, covering the sides in the cabaret sideart, that extends all way to edges in white vinyl, with no woodgrain at all.. that would be awesome.

If you find some, please let me know, since I also need some.

As far as I can tell, Atari only made cabaret side art for Centipede, Asteroids Deluxe and Tempest. Missile Command, Dig Dug, Asteroids and Battlezone did not have any.
I may have the Centipede films, I would have to search. I do have Tempest and Asteroids Deluxe films for the cabarets.

How many people would actually put down $100-125 for a set of Tempest Cabaret sideart?
A run of screened artwork would require about 25 sets to be pre-ordered.
