atari battle zone power supply problem

well back to messing with my battle zones.the power supply voltage was like 7.5 so for starters i recaped the whole supply with no help in lowering the voltage.does any one have any other ideas.thanks
 
I assume you're talking about your AR-II board.
Further assume you're talking about its 5V output.
Finally assume you've already looked for physical damage, shorts, and burned components.

Check Q2, Q3 & CR4.
Hope it's one of those, and not your LM305 (Q1).

Is R29 and / or R30 burnt up?
 
YES this is the AR-II board im talking about and the 5+ on the cpu.before i did the cap job i did replace the r29 it was smoked.i will look to find, how to test the other components.thanks
 
hey bob I actually have an original battlezone marquee hanging on the wall. its in nice shape let me know if you happen to need it
