Assault is great, I played it plenty BITD.
Unique controls, tank sticks that move side to side as well, that allow the tank to roll away from enemy fire. Also spread the sticks to pop a wheelie (tracky?)and lob your shots over obstacles.
Cool looking cabinet, however, stickers are usually peeled away, and has been hit with the yellowing that everything mid 80s Atari gets. TOG has the art listed on their site.
Standard res, but to me the graphics looked pretty futuristic, I think Namco was just really good at drawing the future spacey genre. Xevious looked advanced to me as well.
I have passed over a couple in average condition. Mostly due to the cost involved making it look and play well. Even if you get the game for 300.00, it can end up being 1000.00 after art and rebuilding the sticks. I have never seen a mint or restored one for sale around here.
Buck Rogers sucks. I recently played it at Arcadeexpo to make sure I was giving it a fair assessment after all these years. Yes, it still totally sucks. Its Sega, classic era, attractive cabinet, good theme, but the game blows.
