I talked to Rich when I was at CAX about the Assault sideart...
He still has the films.
He still has the (1) NOS piece that Dj Dns sent him for color matching.
He has other projects / orders to complete before starting on the Assault project.
He hasn't forgot about the Assault sideart!
We all just need to have a little more patience on this project.
Remember, this art will be re-produced by Rich and will be nothing less than PERFECT!
I fully expect that one day, we will get a surprise announcement "Hey everyone, check out what's new on my website" and it will be there!
On another note:
Rich, it was great visiting with you and Kendra again this year. I picked up a BUNCH of your great t-shirts as usual. Thanks again for all you do for us.

I'm in for a set.
I have a spare Assault cpo if anyone is interested.
I am up for a full set of art when they are finally printed. Just have to find an Assault to restore.
I would also like the artwork that goes above the monitor, please. That and the sideart will make my restoration complete.
In the meantime I will add the Assault plus mod to my game while I ponder which will come first: the end of Obama's second term in office or the reproduced Assault artwork.

Last update that I got on this from Rich was that Phoenix Arcade will be doing these. There's no ETA on when they will be done. I'd be in for a set as well when they're available.

I thought Scott had sent films to Darrin with our last batch but talking with Darrin a few ago over projects when I suggested we slide this in. He told me we hadnt received those films yet.
Im not sure why I thought they were sent my mistake.
So Ill have to check with Scott at CAX and see

I fixed my own quote - the original was too optimistic.
This has been discussed since 2004 and then warmed up again in 2008 when Zorg got everyone's hopes up. Then again last year when the original films were located by Scott. So it looks like we are on a four year cycle. That could mean the actual reproduced sideart could finally become available in 2016. This has joined the ranks of other desired but elusive reproduction items or multi-game add-ons. I make light of it but my world will not come tumbling down if it does not happen tomorrow. If I was that anxious I could always go the inkjet route. I will wait.
