got a bad atari star wars arII board. want to purchase or trade my non working for a working board. willing to do either. just want it fast!! like by this weekend. I need an atari ARII version 2 number A035435. thanks!! willing to paypal immediatley.

If I didn't already know that you got mini-raped on a replacement board-set that you probably didn't need, I'd offer to swap mine for yours plus some cash. But at this point it's best to get you a working spare from someone else who is OK with taking more of your money.

When you're up and running again, send me your old ARII, and I'll rebuild it for you at no charge.

Free bump!

So u r saying 375 shipped was a bad price?. I paid the extra 25 to get it to me faster.. so total was 400. Guess I could have had it shipped parcel post if I knew my arII board was bad

Yes. $400 shipped is too high for a SW board set.

MAX you should have paid would have been $300, and even that's stretching it.

A recent feeBay listing for a tested, working boardset was under $150.

I understand you were a motivated buyer, so I'm sure that factored into things. But yes, I believe there was a bit of gouging going on there.

If you're looking to buy a complete board set with the ESB kit already installed, then yes. You can pay upwards of that kind of money. But as I understand it, you just bought a plain old vanilla SW board.

We're getting off topic here, but whatever.

I don't believe there ever WAS a dedicated ESB board set. I believe Atari supplied Ops with a kit to convert their SW boards back in the day.

So if you have an ESB board, you basically have a SW board with a kit on it - either Clay's, Spaeth's, Vectorlabs, or the original OEM kit.

I could be wrong. In fact I probably am. I tend to talk out of my ass a lot and make shit up. But I thought I read somewhere that ESB was a kit sold by Atari for Ops to convert their boards.

Darth you've been mega frantic and posting on this ur all month throwing money at it left and right out of curiosity what do you have in this non working cab? Did you test voltages before buying the SW pcb? I've seen plenty of ar2 for 30 if you can wait

ok guys...i have to go teach taekwondo for the night. i will be home around nine pm central time. i will check my messages then.. i really hope someone has one willing to sell tonight and ship tomorrow via priority. i will obviously take the cheapest and fastest route to get one here by fri or sat. thanks everyone for looking!!

when i got it i was told chassis needed fixing...so i sent it off to get checked...it was ok...so no charge there. got it cosmetically restored...hooked everything up and it worked great. only when i installed my esb kit onto my pcb did the problems start. since it stoped working when i reinstalled the pcb..i assumed it must have been the pcb since i did bend a couple pins when installing. as i am a self proclaimed electronic idiot...i was no longer gonna try and fix it. sent it off to get fixed...i then purchased a spare pcb not only so i can play my game...but just to have a spare for the future. planning on getting a cockpit eventually soon so thought it would be a good idea to have. When i got new pcb and installed...only then did i realize there was something else wrong. so i finally purchased a multimeter...talked to smalltownguy2 on the phone and we found that the arII was bad. so now i am in the hunt for one of them. looking to either purchase straight up..or trade for my non working one. so actually the only money i have put into it is the money for the overlays and the t molding...the shipping costs of my chassis...and the new pcb. But i can tell u now...the cab is in ultra mint shape now. zero flaws. just need it to work!!
