Dan (Descrentl) and I went on a little road trip this Sunday and picked this 720 up from Brett (DPtwiz). Brett was kind enough to show us his CNC in action and even cut out some parts for my 720 Restore. He cut me out both sides to the Monitor case and the front panel. What a great trip and that CNC setup he has is sweet. Thanks again Brett.

awesome man! If you want to come back this coming weekend, you'll be able to remove Paperboy from your signature too! :D

Hey DPtwiz, you should think about selling cab sections like that to everyone. Everything from the small things like Nintendo grills to things as big as what SpartyMac got. That's assuming that you could ship it fairly easily.

Therein lies the rub...it's the shipping that's the killer.

That being said, great pickup at a great price. Best of luck on the restore. I've got a thread out there if it's of any help. Good luck on the vinyl and boombox decal, and go SLOW!

How much would it cost to ship a Nintendo Grill?
Or a 720 Front panel?

We can start another thread if the OP doesn't want it here, but I'd love to hear a quote from DPtwiz just as an example.

the bigger the piece, the more the shipping. I know i shipped a double mario sign, (comparable) to CA and it was 35.00 in shipping. I also had a wooden APB seat, that was boxed up, roughly 14" wide, 14" deep, and 14" tall to WA and it was 29.00 Shipping has been the suck lately. While i strive to make every part 100% accurate, the sides i sent with him were off just slightly on one plane. Probably 3/32 too tall on the highest point.

I copied it with a tape measure, and a square. Normally, i'll take a game apart, lay it on it's side and trace it, then use a large T-square to take measurements. Unfortunately, 720 is so heavy, you could be seriously wounded trying to lay it down lol.

I may visit doing parts later this year, i have to concentrate on getting cabs done/games sold at the moment!

The cnc setup is absolutly amazing. To see it cut Paperboy sides and Mikes parts was frigging awesome. I suggest to anyone looking to replace a beatup cab to order from Brett. You will not be disappointed. It was a blast. Hope to head down again.

I would love that Paperboy but you keep fixing it up and the price keeps going up. That is going to be a mint game when your done which is out of my price range. However I will say that Tempest you have looks like it came out of a crate from the 80's and I am sure that paperboy will also. Once I am done with the 720 resto I think I might be getting a Tron cabinet.

Cabinet for paperboy is done except for the back door i need to dig out, and make a new one. I went to put my art on, and realized it's just the art itself, it doesn't have the extra white around it to trim to fit! Jpopson is bringing me a big roll of white vinyl for it tomorrow, so it will look really good soon!
