Picked up an Astro Fighter UR a few weeks ago and am having some trouble locating side art and a CPO. I could probably leave it as is since it's not too terribly bad, but the bottom particle board is a bit chewed up (1/2 inch or so near the corners)....so that probably means a bondo job which would require me to remove the white vinyl (w/side art). The cardboard inserts are a bit warped - not sure how to correct that, and I don't think there are any repros.
Also for some odd reason the wiring harness was wrapped in aluminum foil as was the back of the marquee light. Thinking maybe they were trying to get rid of the audio hum which I think was caused by the ground plug being cut. I'm torn between trying to leave this original as possible and doing a complete restore. Anyone have any advice for someone new to collecting?
