Mine is missing. I'm trying to figure out where to put on and what type to add

Can people post some pictures of their upright stickers and what serial numbers they are, and any distinguishing things about the system. I can see if my number match the right vintage and get the right sticker and placement.

I think I have my serial number on the monitor and ar board. Mine had black cones that appear original and a 802 monitor no owl eye -- normal coin slots. No wood under control panel just the extended bolts and button holders. I rev 4 manual was in the bottom the PCB didn't have the 4 dip switch -- so I'm told can be used on a cocktail. ROM were hand written and 2 didn't match MAME set -- I saved them no idea why they are different.

There is a white stripe with a red stamped number on all my boards, monitor and the back of the cabinet.

Little help here?

Its difficult to know what the serial number is unless you have more than 1 item in your cab that has the same number on it... and even then its not a sure thing.

Check the power supply block on the base of the cab... it should have a rectangular silver label that says SER on it with a number that is printed on it in a dot-matrix font. There may be another one of these labels on the Monitor frame and on the game board itself (allthough I'm not sure about the board). Usually the power block sticks with the cab and its your best bet in terms of it having the actual serial number of that cab.

If any of these labels have the same SER number on it then that is a fairly good indication of the actual serial number of your machine. If they are all different then you have a game that's been repaired and stuff has been swapped out. In that case, if it were me I'd bet on the one on the power block tag...

There is also some activity on this thread about reproducing the serial labels themselves that stick on the outside of the cab:

Hope this helps... I'm no Obi-Wan :)

Yup I was hoping to get a sticker request on that thread -- it appears though there are different styles of stickers on various vintages of Asteroids -- so I was trying to get an example of one like mine so I know which to serial number sticker to request

Its also appears some are stuck on the back and some on the top and again trying to get the placement for one similiar to my vintage.

I want to get the other details for the sticker besides the serial number for my sticker request like model etc

Maybe no Obi Wan but at least you replied. I'm starting to feel the FORCE!

Is there no evidence of a label ever being present on your cab? These things don't come off very easily and usually leave an outline or dirt spot or something...

Ahh I see. The Asteroids cab I had was not labeled that way. It had a square black/foil sticker on the bottom left corner of the top of the cab. Inside it had the standard foil stickers on the electronic components... it didn't have that white paint thing you have going on.

Maybe someone around here has a similar cab... unless this is unique.

Here's mine.

This is in the bottom left corner of the top, when viewed from the back.
