I'm selling my Asteroids upright machine. It's working, but came out of the famous (for MI guys at least) Kalmazoo warehouse, so it's in need of cosmetic work. There's swelling on the cab and it doesn't have a back door and the control panel needs work for sure. I've been admittedly lazy with this one and it needs hardware for things like the marquee brackets and control panel so those pieces are not secured to the cabinet. Let me know if you need more pics, but hopefully this gives you a fair idea of the condition. Asking price is $250 and for pickup in Corunna, MI. I don't wanna part this one out and I think it's worthy of restoring, but I don't have interest in doing it myself. On the plus side the game is working and I figure in parts it is worth my asking price.

actually pretty nice game from the kzoo place
good luck on your sale
Yeah so much of the stuff was trashed, but a really cool place to look around. This will leave me with just the Pac-Man cab as far as warehouse games I have. I grabbed a gutted Tempest from there as well, but shortly after I got a complete but non working Tempest for $50! The warehouse Tempest went to a buddy of mine.

Game is still available! I do have it up on CL also.

There were alot of cabinets that were pulled out of that warehouse that were in great shape. I was fortunate enough to get first dibs on alot of the stuff in that warehouse as my friend John was one of the guys involved with it. I pulled a really nice Quantum and Quadrapong out of there, along with a Star Trek upright (Asteroids conversion) and a few other games along with a bunch of monitors and parts. I could have snagged the Warrior but after shelling out a big chunk of change for the Quantum I couldn't swing it. They sold it on eBay for a nice profit. It's crazy to think how many Asteroids and Battlezones were pulled out of there, most of which were in pretty decent shape.

Most of the stuff in the basement was rough but alot of the stuff on the main floor were still pretty nice. I remember pulling the door off a Frogger upright from the basement (that was locked) with my bare hands and the door just crumbled to pieces. The boardset was in great condition and worked fine when I fired it up at home!

That was alot of fun tho my sinuses paid the price because of all that mold.

I honestly have to admit that going to that warehouse was the coolest thing I've done in this hobby so far. I've scoured the net for pics from other people and have em saved. I wish I could have gone through it sooner since it was really picked over. Is this you loading up the quadrapong?

Heh, yup, that's me on the left. I wish I would have taken pictures from my trips there. Do you have any other pictures from that warehouse other than the ones on mudmantim's photo album?

That was also one of the greatest experiences I have from this hobby as well. The first time I walked in that place I was like a kid in a candy store. Good times!

I can only imagine how cool it was to be in there when it was so packed. My buddy and I were the last group to leave from that particular sale and he and I would drive by the place everytime we were over that way (pretty much for an auction). The place was standing for several years before they finally demolished it. I have to wonder what useable stuff was lost even though the best stuff was saved.

Bitburn.com has some pics and I have a few pics (crappy quality even for 2004)
