Asteroids... Tired of Looking At It

I would take both the $250 Asteroids and the $25 Defender right now... :(

...even though I can't afford it.

Whereabouts in Nevada, Frizz? Vegas, or more North? Vegas is only 5.5 ~ 6 hours from me... Hmmm... I am seriously interested if we can make something work out...

Do you have a link to the Defender cab? Also, what would that bring the grand total to for zipcode 06451?

You're going to need to contact NAVL to find out.

Here's a pic (minus marquee, monitor, etc, etc, etc).

Oh, I didn't realize it was literally just the cab. I'll contact NAVL tomorrow and see what it would cost to ship Asteroids. Also, how much was the Great 1000 Mile Rally? Is that just the cab as well? What is your zip code?

that is a nice asteroids.

the game is over 30 years old and is in black and white. to today's younger generation this game is like the horse and buggy compared to today's console systems.

the market for the majority of these old games has been shrinking for years.

needless to say, this is a great time to be collecting but a lousy time to be selling.

I guess you could say that about a lot of things these days.

Put it on Ebay with a minimum of $200, I bet someone takes it.

If you part that machine you need to turn in your KLOV card for sure. That would be a senseless waste. I had a game for over 2 years before it finally sold. I had it on ebay a few times, didn't sell, CL forever didn't sell, 2 cax shows, didn't sell, it finally went on ebay for $535. I would have sold it for $300 several times but the people kept flaking. Patience is a virtue.

And there is no Asteroids machine worthy of that kind of patience. If you haven't sold this thing by now Frizzy, junk it. I'll print you a new KLOV card with unlimited access to the KLOV cemetary. You can spend hours looking at all the Asteroids that i've placed there.

That's just messed up junking that machine. I'm sure it would sell on ebay between now and x-mas.

Nope...no trips to Iowa planned. I will be driving through either Nevada, the backside of california, or Utah come February (visiting family in So Cal). We'll likely go the backside of Cali route, but it depends on the weather/snow factor.

I think you should drive thru Vegas, and let me know what you have available then! ;)

That's a nice Asteroids! Every time I go to the Pinball Hall of Fame here, I drop several quarters in. Would like to have one, but the only one I've seen for sale around here is being listed for $1000.

Great 1000 Mile Rally is complete... looks quite nice overall. I'd let it go for $250.00 as well... nice 25" WG monitor... plays great. (and the coin door has been cleaned up, etc...this is an old pic)

Zip is 83686

You can link two of those together right? I've never played it, but wouldn't mind checking one out sometime..

Nope... no linkage action possible with 1000 Mile Rally. It's a fun game though.

Ok, I see where I got it from... "The Great 1000 Mile Rally 2" supports linkage for up to four players. I must have missed the "2" when reading the data that led me to believe it could. :D

Frizz, even tho you're kind of grumpy fucker I gotta give you kudos for trying not to junk that machine. Believe me I understand when space is at a minimum and every time you turn around you have to move something else. Even though it appears this thing may be on the way to the boneyard I say at least try eBay. Set the reserve at your listing cost and let it go or simply throw it up on CL for MAKE OFFER YOU'LL BE SUPRISED WHAT I MIGHT SAY YES TO! It beats junking it and after all .... all you're trying to do is avoid junking it right?

It appears the Asteroids is sold locally. The guy will be picking her up tomorrow. He's suppose to call tomorrow AM to schedule a time for later in the day. If that doesn't pan out, a fellow KLOVian has expressed interest as well.

One way or another it appears that this will be sold intact... nice.

And yes... I am grumpy fucker as of late. Thats what 6 months no beer will do to a guy I guess. :)

At least I didn't piss the arcade gods off (and ArcRevival) by parting her out.

BTW - I tend to talk a mean game, but I REALLY would have had a hard time parting this `stroids out regardless of how much I needed the room.
