Hi,

I have an Asteroids that does not power up (No picture, just a hum, and no CP leds lit).

I followed one of Dokert's post on how to check the voltage when the Board is disconnected and I am getting the appropriate voltages, however when I connect the game board, I am only getting 1.6v off of the 5 volt test point and 12 volts from the 10.3volt test line..

Does this mean I have a board problem? or does it mean the Regulator board is bad?

Thanks,

Chris

I'd pull the 2N3055 off the Audio/Regulatir board and test it....or just replace it and see what happpens.

If the outputs on the A/R board are all correct when the pcb is not plugged in, then that board is not the problem. Check the resistance on the pcb between the +5 test connector and ground test connector. Let us know the value. And from that point we may be able to help.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your help..

Got it all working... I posted a new thread in the general section with some pics and what I had to change..

Thanks again,

Chris
