I finished my asteroids today.
when i started it up it was fully working no problems.
i ran it for a while and played some games and it worked fine. i was closing everything up and shut the coin door not relizing i left the service power button out. so when i closed the door it jammed the button in making the fuse blow on the power supply. so i replaced it. games powers up i have sound but no screen.
ive checked all the fuses on the deflection board their all fine. and the kill light on the board is not on either. but im not sure why its not working. i can hear the monitor humming so its working just no pic. any vector guys out their with help. is it my monitor or possible my board set got fried thanks kyle

Monitor

If it was the board and not the monitor, the spot killer would be on. Gheck power to the monitor. See if you can hear deflection chatter at the monitor. Most importantly considering the circumstances. See if you have neck glow on the monitor. It is the same power source (fuse) on the brick as the coin door lights.

I checked all the fuses again but nothing.
also i didn't change the switch because it function fine.
the only thing i replaced was a fuse on the power brick that was 7 1/2. but i changed it to a 7 amp 250 volt. thats what the schematics showed for asteroids. thanks for the help. keep it coming ill get this figured out with your guys help.

Neck glow

There should be 6.3v AC going to the coin lights and the neck heater from the brick. Check and see if you have that.

i have no coin door lights...From what i can tell the neck is not lit up.

There should be 6.3v AC going to the coin lights and the neck heater from the brick. Check and see if you have that.

Start by checking the voltage to the coin door light socket. Set your meter on AC (at the proper voltage range) and put one probe on one of the wires going to the lamp socket and the other probe on the other wire. What kind of voltage do you get there? If no voltage follow those wires back to the brick. With power off, check the continuity of each wire (from the brick to the lamp socket). Are the good? Is there a brake in the wires?

I agree with 7146aaron, your no coin door light and now neck glow makes me think you have an issue with the 6.3v supply. No voltage to the heater equals no picture.

Solve that problem first and then see if you have other issues.

I will delete my previous post now that the master has posted!

Dokert - I'll have to get one of those Brick test harnesses from you sometime, very cool.

I am pretty sure that I have posted Atari Power Brick testing procedures about a gazillion times in the past.
