Decent cab, decent monitor and plays fine what do you think? I'm going to go at 300 and maybe try and take it less than 400? It's a bit of a drive but I really like the game. And I'm going to have to pay my buddy for gas and truck use so prolly another 30 in that

$300 is about right. If they're really hard to find near where you are, maybe a bit more for a good machine.

Asteroids is a good arcade for collectors because it never goes for a premium AND it's a great game with awesome replay value.

$300 isn't bad for a relatively nice one if you are having a hard time finding it. Here's in California they show up all the time though so here I'd say $100 to $250 at the most here unless it was just super nice.

Ya the market around here is a bit more elevated then that. Old games really don't pop up all the much

i payed £350 (thats roughly $550) for a half decent one here in uk,1 side art good, the other sctractched, not the worst but,not as good the other side.cp was well rusty,i bought a replacement that was better but, still not perfect.also the backdoor was homemade from a fruit machines.

gos to show you the prices they go for here, mine was a a bargain as they go for £600 in good condition, mine was decent enough.

i bought a realy nice example deluxe for £550 last week.

great game, most played cabs by me out of the collection, gos down well with visitors who play it.
:)

The price is all over the place on these but generally I'd say a good working one is $250-$450, depending on conditio and if it has the hi score save kit in it. I definitely would get one of those kits if you don't have one....

See I had that one recently that had the monitor rebuilt and the high-score save kit, new big blue, new cpo...and I had a hard time getting $200 for it. :(

I bought an Asteroids upright back in 1988 for $100.

I sold it a couple of years later for $100.

I decided to start collecting arcade games again a year or so ago when I stumbled upon the EXACT same Asteroids game that I had owned previously (easily identified by some graffiti a tech had left inside and some minor repair work that I had done).

21 years ago I paid $100 for it.

This time I paid $500.

I'm interested in knowing more details as to how you happened to come across the same Asteroids game. :D

I picked up my back-door-less Asteroids for $150. I just have to get around to getting it working.
