Asteroids power brick voltages potentially off?

Dang even in the current year we get forum arguments. Incredible. Look, I already need to fix some molex stuff so its not like Im not learning a new skill among a bunch of other stuff I learned from this thread. Plus I would rather just have this thing in original working condition with no hiccups if the parts are available instead of yet another hackjob for someone else to have to fix later on.

And that's the right answer.

Don't listen to Mark. He's our resident asshole. You'll get to know him better if you spend some time here.

I posted technical information -- you tried to make a sale.

Who's the asshole.

Buy a mirror.

I helped a person find the easiest solution, with the least amount of work, and hackery. Understanding people is part of that process. And you suck at it.

But keep telling people which wrong chips to replace, and selling products that have design flaws.

You provide the solution that put money in your pocket.

What about the next person with this problem?
Should they find this thread then ask you to sell them another brick?

Does it physically pain you to provide technical information?

But keep telling people which wrong chips to replace
Keep telling people nothing. Then you can never be wrong.

I generally don't tell people what to replace -- only where to look.
Maybe one day you'll wise up and understand the difference.

and selling products that have design flaws.
Funny -- normally you just complain that I don't sell anything.

Keep producing nothing!

Hacking up more bricks is not the best solution.

I provide plenty of technical information. And I also know how to tailor it to the level of the person receiving it, because I know how to interact with people socially. Not just spit technical details at them and call them idiots.

And you've been wrong, even in plenty of those examples. But you never stick around any of those threads to find out.

The guy accusing me of fleecing someone is now getting mad because I don't sell cheap repro PCB's to make money. Got it.

I sell services. Fixing existing old things, because that's mostly what this hobby needs.

Not repro junk that has design flaws, which the designer can't be bothered to test himself. I still have your shitty QPE and Quantum adapters, if you're ever going to get around to fixing those. Oh wait, I already did.

Sure...because there's an endless supply of asteroids bricks just waiting to shipped out...

Where in this thread did I call anyone (but you) an idiot, clown?

Hint:
There are thousands of users on this site.
People other than the OP "receive" what's posted.

And you've been wrong, even in plenty of those examples. But you never stick around any of those threads to find out.

I made repro PCBs (and helped other build and debug theirs) for fun, not money, kiddo.

I sell services. Fixing existing old things, because that's mostly what this hobby needs.
...and I give people info so they can learn to do things themselves and don't need your "services".

You're very proud of your inability to plug a harness in centered on adapter made 20+ years ago.

Sure...because there's an endless supply of asteroids bricks just waiting to shipped out...

I have one, and it'll be of better use to him than me.

That's called helping people. You should try it sometime. Instead of being famous for being the biggest asshole in this entire hobby.

You know those things are opposites, right?

Where in this thread did I call anyone (but you) an idiot, clown?

I didn't say this thread.

Look up the threads you've posted in.

You're very proud of your inability to plug a harness in centered on adapter made 20+ years ago.

Just because you made it a long time ago doesn't make it any less poorly designed.

I have one, and it'll be of better use to him than me.
So do I.... but adapting what he already has is far simpler.

That's called helping people. You should try it sometime. Instead of being famous for being the biggest asshole in this entire hobby.
If all you can do to "help people" is sell shit, your usefulness expires when you run out of shit to sell.

Look up the threads you've posted in.
Most of yours are shitposting in the P&R sewer.... where you belong.

Just because you made it a long time ago doesn't make it any less poorly designed.
Still 1000% better than the nothing you've ever produced.

If you actually read more threads here instead of just shitting in them, you'd realize how wrong and dumb this statement is.

Also, count up your ratio of P&R to forum posts and compare it to mine. Go ahead, do it.

I've also helped more people here actually fix things for free than you have.

LOL.
I left P&R for over a year until someone asked me to post some analysis to contradict some of the bullshit there.
I bet your "mental" diarrhea didn't cease for a single day.

I've also helped more people here actually fix things for free than you have.
Newb.

"Check voltages"
"Clean contacts"

That bullshit should be the baseline before anyone even posts.

Again, if you actually read more threads here you'd know what I help people with.

And yet, you can't seem to find the patience (or social skills) to explain the basics to new people. Because everyone who isn't a technical expert is an idiot, beneath you, and not worth your time in your book.
