Help,

I need to replace my power cord in my Asteroids upright. What gauge / grade of wire do I need to purchase to fit as a replacement?

What tools will I need to crimp and connect the wire to my transformer?

Jeff

Now I could be wrong, but the power cord displayed in the picture, doesn't have the molex plug that fits into the atari power brick. So unless someone wants to remove the pins from the old plug, put new pins on the new power cord, and re-pin the molex plug. You might want to try one of these from Bob.

Yep, that's what you need. I just ordered these and replaced three, one of them an Asteroids. Plug and play=+1

I got the BR cord and its really nice! I was happy!

My Asteroids mini had a metal mounting plate in the cabinet the cord had to pass through. I had to use my terminal remover tool, remove the plastic connector on the new cord so I could still use the cabinet metal mounting plate and pass it through the plates hole. Than reassemble.

Otherwise, you will not be able to re-use the original metal mounting plate with the new cord if your machine has one.

It fits I purchased a couple so far. It does come with the proper plug to fit the power brick.
