It was playing blind, the spot killer wasnt on but you could see the monitor glowing so I seen on the Asteroids Repair Encyclopedia site that the vr2 could be the problem but it was good. We ended up switching out the b12 4016 chip and it started working but now the screen is upside down. How do we fix this. Thanks in advance.

Dip switches maybe.

Well does it flip between p1 and p2 if yes its in cocktail mode.

Is the monitor original for the game, games like asteroids deluxe battle zone flip the picture because they use mirrors to invert the image.

So it would be my guess that your monitor yoke is wired wrong, or you are in cocktail mode.

Thanks Talon2000, the monitor is the right one. It was playing right side up before we changed the b12 chip but was very distorted now it has a nice picture but its upside down. The pin for inverting the picture for cocktail mode is inactive.

I was going to tell you to try and short the INV line to activate the flip. I think I shorted the NINV when I was messing with it. Causing it to flip upside down.
