Wow. This is in much better shape than I thought when I responded to the CL ad for $100.
Sent someone to buy it sight unseen after talking to the guy on the phone.
Works but has graphics glitches as shown. The blurry pics are of my doing - the actual vectors are sharp and bright. Plays and sounds great. With the exception of the damage to the CP, there are almost no scratches in the artwork. Serial Number 5335. Only missing one coin mech and one screw on the coin door.
YES!

So that $100.00 game looks great. My friend is still looking for one and I was not able to get a hold of him when that ad came out. Great score.

Hah...check those suckers out LOL. You may want to PM roadrunner here, he's the man when it comes to Asteroids apparently. Thats definitely a board problem with the scaler chips.

Congrats on the find though - Asteroids will always be my fav!

Asteroids is a lot of fun.

It's my only vector.

Mine had a problem, too. Have you stuck it in test mode yet? It can tell if there is a ram failure through a series of beeps, or something else maybe

big-ass teroids. LOL!
This was in San Jose, and it's nice to keep this one local. The guy knew an awful lot about this board - he had been troubleshooting it for a long time and all of a sudden had to move and didn't want to move it again because of the weight. He was aware that he could get a board and sell it for more, he just didn't want to. I guess that's what you call a lucky day for me.

Haven't put it in test mode yet but the seller has. He isolated the problem to something on the vector ships. He unsoldered four of them to check voltages but hasn't found the problem ye.t
Hopefully I'll get a chance to mess with it next week. Or I'll just send it in for repair.
