Asteroids Multigame - Wondering Again!

Maybe he could get Dave at Ram Controls to produce the kits and he could sell a bunch of repro Lunar Lander controls too. ;)

I'm not bashing the guy spending time with his kids. I just wish he would punt the project to someone else if he doesn't want to complete it. Who else is going to take on such a project while his kit is sitting nearly complete? I sure wish I knew how the f*ck to do it! :D
 
I wonder if he has a price in mind for either a private sale or for it to go open source. FF could organize the donations. ;)
 
I need this kit, currently I am building a harness adapter so I can switch my Deluxe machine to just Asteroids.

I would easily prepay for this kit.
 
I want this as well for my AD. His kits are great I aready own his MC kit and his BZ kit and am looking to get his Centi kit soon, light a fire under him lol

This is very true. I would love to see this kit completed. Truth is I made a similar post about a year ago.

Scott Brasington has asked not to be bugged about this Kit, He has personal family issues, and I really dont see this kit being completed by him. Its a shame because it would be a best seller for sure. But I respect his wishes, and I will not contact him on the issue.

It would be nice if someone could pick this project up and complete it, There seemed to be some issue with the Lunar Lander?? Sounds I think?? IIRC. Not sure if anyone has the expertise to complete it. They might have to start over. If it is ever completed put me down for 10!!!

The only redeeming quality of Lunar Lander is the controls. So unless you are going to hack your control panel I would just shoot for a combo Asteroids pack.

Wow! I guess Im not the only one out there looking for one. Im surprised to see this thread taken off as it has :)
I understand Scott has a personal life and I TOTALLY agree that kids and family take much more precedence than hobbies.
However,
Why does he have all the info out there on a kit he is not producing. If ANY product is no longer available, then why "advertise" it? It just gives false hopes to people like me looking for it.
I have a couple of his kits and they are top notch. I would love to see this completed to the end, but I guess Ill end up going with the HS save kit from Mikes as Frizz pointed out earlier in the thread.
 
All I care about is playing Lunar Lander on my Asteroids Deluxe. I would be willing to add a small slider to the control panel if tapping the gas button doesn't work well.

I would not hack my panel. If this happens I would purchase one of the brand new lunar lander control panels that Ram Controls is making. When I wanted to play lander I would change the panel:cool:
 
Yeah, I would be interested in a kit as well. I like Lunar Lander more then Asteroids, so it would be cool to be able to play that and keep the Asteroids around as well.
 
Lunar Lander works great with the asteroids controls. The longer you hold the thrust button, the more flame you get, until it's maxed. Then, when you let up on the thrust, the flame slowly degrades.

I think it works very well.

This is on the kit for Deluxe -- I assume the Asteroids kit works the same.

Suwheet. I was willing to hack my panel because I have a spare. I wouldn't want to install a full-sized Lunar Lander throttle on the AD.

When I played it at CAX I didn't like it (the controls). That said, I only played 2 or 3 times... I'm sure i'd get used to it.
