I just picked up a mostly gutted asteroids from a fellow klover. It has an electrohome monitor with no chassis (circuit board is missing). So I have no idea whether I need to be looking for a new monitor, or just a chassis.

Is there anything I can do to get an idea of whether the tube is functional?

I know I can take resistance readings to see if the coils are at all intact. Is there anything short of getting a chassis that I can do to test the tube? Take it to an old shop and have them put a rejuvinator on it? Do rejuvinators work on vector tubes? (I can't imagine why not, but I've got no real knowledge in this area.)

I just don't want to buy a chassis, only to find out that I need an entire new monitor.

It's an 802. It's missing everything but the three transistors mounted to the side.
