Asteroids in a weird cabaret conversion cabinet. Nice G05 vector monitor $200

Up for sale is an Asteroids cabaret style but evidently not in an original Atari cabinet. I picked this up with a dedicated Super Pac Man cabaret (sorry sold) but didn't realize this was a conversion of some sort. 13" G05 has a great picture. It was working but I moved the cab and now the game is glitchy. Haven't had a chance to reseat connections or chips. $200 cash takes it! PCB and monitor are worth that alone! If it ain't a dedicated machine I don't keep em! :)

im no expert in this area but my experience with a oddly colored computer space turned out to be truly special. this *could* be one of those cases...time will tell!

I know that's what I was thinking but no one seems to think it is. I have a potential buyer who is checking on shipping. I is pending sale as of right now and will update again this week. The control panel is what really gets me if this is a conversion...it's totally unique to this cab

I'm reasonably certain that I've seen an earlier black and white game in this very cabinet. The single slot Midway style coin door and the silver metal bar over the monitor resemble something I've seen before, so I'm leaning toward a conversion.

Though honestly, I would rather be wrong, and have it be some cool piece of Atari history, like a proto cabaret cabinet. :)

Considering the location, maybe it's one of the mini's referenced here:

Near the end of the page:

Fake Mini Machines:

I've got a mini. I'd never seen one before and I asked the operator about it. "Oh yeah, we (the operator and his buddies) built a batch of those minis and put knockoff boards in them." It seems that a set of plans was floating around for the mini (at least in the virginia area). But it is definitely "home brew" down to color copy of the asteroids marquee.
