Replaced the silver transistors. (All 4 the first time), then blew in both X and Y, replaced those again.

Replaced the diode, it is now blowing 2 of the three 5a fuses located next to d100 diode; the spot killer comes on then shuts off after fuses blow.

Anyone have any ideas?

If you have changed the "silver" transistors you need to check if collector, base or emmiter is shorted to the aluminum case. If you have zero ohms resistance between the bottle cap top or either pin (of all of the transistors) and the sheet metal they are mounted to that is your problem. If you find any part of a transistor that has zero ohms between itself and the metal it is mounted to the transistor is most likely bad as well.

Yes, these keep grounding out, how do I actually make them not ground out?

You need to have mica insulator between the transistor and teh metal frame. If you have the insulators check to make sure tat the socket is seated correctly in the screw holes before you tighten them down.

OK, almost there, only one fuse keeps blowing after that..any other ideas before I ship this chassis off to someone who knows better than we do, lol
