I got this asteroid free a few years ago, got a working board on klov year ago , it always had a minor pcb board issue replace the ad40715
And it was fixed for about 30 seconds then it freaked out
I have replace the f11 174
B11 374
Also I heard a little snap, then had no monitor the 5ohm 15 watt resistor went open, I bypassed the 2 power resistors , I read that they are their just to protect the bridge reciter for inrush current to the caps

It's trying to run.

What is your troubleshooting capability?

Can you check the AC Ripple on the DC legs?

You have multiple problems.

That's either a bad DAC, or one of the counters driving the DAC. There are other threads here with the same issue. And when a game board outputs a bad signal like that, it can blow parts of the monitor. There's also potentially a monitor issue, as it's only drawing on one quadrant. However that could also be the game board. You need a scope to fix this. And you do not want to be operating that board into that monitor, you want to be using a scope as a display until you get the game board straightned out. Guessing at replacing things will not fix it, you need to troubleshoot here.

If you want to send it in, I repair these.

I saw that and thought too myself ****. I would love to know the answer to that one. and if you had the negative analog voltages and maybe the adder chip. the board looks like it wants to tear that monitor apart, be glad you only killed the 5 ohm resistor. looks like you are dieing on the friendlier side of the analog side and no its not c8! why do I see 25% of the c8 have been touched? send it to andrew for the warranty and fast repair
