Asteroids DX owners, where did you get your BL bulbs??

Have any of you guys gotten replacement bulbs locally? Also did you go with black bulbs or white and why?

I got a black bulb at the hardware store. Looks cool but the arcade needs to be kind of dark for it to look good. It's been years since I saw this game with a white black bulb. I think there have been several threads on this.

I got a white black light (for Battlezone, not AstDx) at a local lighting supply company, Light Bulb Depot.

I think this is the one I got:

Here's their full selection of white black lights:

They refer to the other, more common, type as a "black light blue".

EDIT:
Oh, and as to the why: I had a regular ("blue") black light in there, and it was difficult to see the backdrop art except for the flourescent colored parts. I'm much happier with the visual effect with the white black light. In addition to the glow of the flourescent bits, the rest of the art is illuminated nicely (even with the room lights off).

heh... Home Depot has them, (well, at least the Home Depot near me did). Same for the front fluorescent bulb as well.

When I replaced them, someone actually installed a fluorescent lamp in the marquee box because the starters were burnt out and I guess they didn't know how to change them. :)
