Okay, this hopefully is my final Asteroids question and this machine will be completed. I have a distortion in my vectors that can readily seen in the test grid as well as in game play. I'm not sure if this a deflection board issue or simply the tube.

I've attached an image below. Thanks for any feedback anyone can offer.

What kind of monitor is it and has it been recapped? Has the main board been recapped? What happens when you play with the pots on the main board? Have you tried pulling the ROMs, cleaned the pins and reset them back in?

Appears to be a monitor issue, I haven't seen an Asteroids board give that kind of a distortion, I would suspect one of the chassis transistors may be non linear or one of the drivers for them.

The monitor is a G05-802. All boards have been recapped and the chassis transistors have also been replaced. I know this is not a game board issue, because alternate boards display the same distortion. Adjusting the pots on the deflection PCB does not straighten the vectors on the test grid.

I have another deflection board I'll pull from an Asteroids cocktail to see if I get the same results.
