I got this Asteroids Deluxe recently and the PCB will not power up. The game worked fine at first, then the issue surfaced. It only seem to last for a little while, but today I cannot get it to power on. I've tried "wiggling" things, but no luck. The marquee and black light powers on and the monitor gets neck glow, but the red led on the PCB does not illuminate and no picture on the monitor. I thought is was the rear door interlock because it looks fried, but it ohms-checks good. I think the PCB is good. Possibly the power supply? Looking at the power supply, it looks clean, but don't know if it has been rebuilt. Any thoughts?

Get out your DMM. Do you not have 5V on the game board? (Is the red power LED on the board not lit?)

If it isn't lit, your AR is possibly dead, or there's a problem with your brick. Check to see if you have 12-14V on the 10.3V test point on the AR. If you do, and there's no 5V on the game board or AR, then the AR is bad.

If the 10.3V test point shows no voltage, then there's a problem with your brick. Check fuses, and test the bridge rectifier. If the rectifier and fuses look good, replace the big blue.

Even though I wiggled several times, it did not work. I actually disconnected the interlock switch from the brick and saw corrosion. Reconnected and it power up. I probably need to go through it and rebuild.
