So, I just got my monitor back from ArcadeCUP, and the picture is nice and crisp. I still have a little adjustment I would like to make to it though.. I adjusted the brightness and the contrast on the monitor, tweaked the X and Y gain to fill the picture.

Things still look a tad "off". I was told there should be a vector adjustment on the board that might clean up the image a hair better. Could someone please tell me where that adjustment is located???

I am adding a few screenshots. I am trying to adjust the picture so the type is "square" rather than "scewed" slightly. I'm hoping the screenshots are clear enough to show what I am trying to adjust...

IIRC the main board will only have x and y gain. This will adjust the over all size of the picture.

What you may have is an issue with linearity. Those pots are on the deflection board. You'll need a diamond pattern achieved in test mode, and will need to adjust those two pots if the linearity is out.

Kinda looks like it needs a "BIP" adjustment, but I don't think Ast Deluxe has one...

Is the metal cage over the HV board in place, or missing?

The metal cage is in place. I just brought it home from having it repaired and hooked it up. The guy that repaired it is very reliable, and it looked good on his bench with a test pattern on it but we didn't have a board/harness to test it with.

Do you have another vector game you can hook the monitor up to? Might be a board issue. The vectors look a bit wavy on the Y axis.

It only looks too bright in the photos, IRL I have it adjusted properly so there is no edge bleed (the photos were taken in the dark, so I'm sure the aperture was wide-open).

I was able to check the board in another asteroids machine, and the board looks perfect as far as the video output on another machine.
