I recently bought an Asteroids Deluxe from Bryan95502 and the cabinet was pretty good but it had been dropped on its rear corner and it was coming apart. I glued the cabinet back and clamped it overnight. The corner was going to have to be replaced before I could put on new side art.

I used a couple of clamps to make a fence and set the blade depth on my circular saw and cut out the corner

Here is the offending piece.

I cut out a new corner and made a new groove for the t-molding and set it in place. After a little wood putty and some more sanding it came out real nice. I bet my neighbors were wondering what the palm sander noise was (I live in an apartment)

It looks thinner but it is the same size, I painted the new piece around the edge a little so I would not have to paint it after it was in place.

The original side art had been peeling (suprise suprise) and had been touched up around the edges. When I laid a small piece of the new side art scrap on the painted/non painted part you could really see through. I was going to try to sand off the paint but was going to rough up the cabinet too much so I primed using Kilz and a fine foam roller and sanded and primed and sanded and primed till I was about fed up. After several layers and about a week with sanding and painting in between it was smooth as a baby's ass and had complete coverage. One more layer to go on this picture.

New art going on.

I wrapped the new art around the edge and trimmed it at the t-molding slot so it would be held down by the molding.

Here it is all finished. The new art from Phoenix Arcade is top notch. It went on without one single wrinkle or bubble on either side.

That is a thing of beauty. I can't wait for the cabaret sideart to come out. Nice work. :)
