I just picked up a very nice asteroids deluxe last night and was wondering if it has a white black light or the standard black light? I will post pictures later.
Thanks Tony

The factory manual calls for the White black light (BLB), but others have used the standard black light (BL) and claim it gives a better effect.

I have the BLB in my machine, not the BL type. I want to try the BL though, so I can see which effect I prefer myself.

Either way it is an awsome cabinet and a great game! :)

Yup, "white" black light from the factory. With the "white" light, the artwork is a lot more visible...and brighter. A lot of people have glare issues with the "white" light....and switch to the "black" light.

That is a very good price.

Really is. I think I did something like 5 for mine, but then had to pay crazy shipping on them. Apparently shipping thing glass tubes, under vacuum, isn't the cheapest thing to do.

It's always good to stock up on them if you have to order them online. I ordered 3 of them just for Tron. 1 to use, 2 for backups. Then I got BattleZone and Space Invaders, then the one in Tron went out on me... so, I'm in the same boat again because I have an Asteroids Deluxe I have to work on... Get several more than you actually need... it's cheaper in the long run.
