I wanted some opinions on if this could be the cause of my sound going in and out and no sound for the flying saucers.

Also, should I touch it up with some fresh solder?

does this mod look correct? I am sure it's been done plenty of times before on atari boards.

I was in that mode believe it or not. tried in with no light, tried it with light.
lol

I'm just gonna go finish recapping the board with the BR cap kit, and see what happens I guess.

Did you hold the button down half-way for a moment first to let it focus? A decent camera should be able to take that shot clearly. Hard to tell from the pics but the solder looks pretty clumpy.

That edge connector repair job is as bad as your camera skills. :D
That really should be redone properly. Also check the power pins on the harness side and make sure they're not all fubar'd.

Cannon Sureshot?
I had one of them - no matter how hard you tried, it would never take macro pictures that were in focus.

those repair v idoes look great I will be looking through them tonite.

and yeah, I held the button down jehuie allowing it to focus.

I just think it was the lighting in my garage at the time. I actually did have a couple of clear ones but I deleted them on accident as I was clearing off 100 unneeded pictures from the camera.

Wow. Great video tutorial by bitslicer! I've never done one of those and that certainly a thorough job!
