Welp, I "did" a couple videos last night and here are the results. One thing I find strange is that both videos were filmed with the same camera, converted with the same software with the same settings yet the first video plays "full screen" while the other two (two half's) are slightly squished with black bars across the top and bottom. Anyone have any idea why that happened? The only difference between the two that I can think of is that the 2nd (long) video was cut in half (length) to fit in youtubes time limits? When I check the videos that were uploaded locally they all three come up 1280x720? No biggie I suppose...

Anyway... here is the "quick" no voice walk though... it comes in at just over 7 minutes...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkxocqRHbn0 (yes...I am a little shaky at times in this vid... what can I say... I was trying to do multiple things at the same time)

Here is the more detailed version which includes me talking about each game...it's pretty long at just under 20 minutes total so it's been broke in to two halves...

Enjoy...

Does the vertical MAME always take that long to load?

First game... I knew someone would ask...perhaps I should put an annotation in there. First game loaded always take about 2-3x as long for whatever reason... plus Raiden Fighters is a pretty big game to load. But no... if I had loaded another game then loaded Raiden Fighters it would have taken about half or a third as long.

EDIT: Annotation added.

Ok, I was just curious. I've never owned/played a MAME machine, so I'm not sure what normal load times are.

Looks like a nice layout.

Load times depend on the game... classics like DK, Ms. Pac, etc take a couple seconds at most... some of the larger games take more time...

PS: Alright... who's the douchebag who marked the vids with 1 star? :D

My favorite thing in your collection is the Wizard of Wor. Easily. Its one of my favorite games, ever.

That is, if you don't count the pins. Your pins look nice.

hahaha! I saw that. Jeez. Bumped them both with 5 stars, man. Good videos. Lots of insight. Holy jeez! You have a serious multi fetish! :)

In the detailed part 1 video, around 1:19 when you're showing DK Jr., I laughed because the Pac-man machine makes the "Pac-man dies" sound effect right after you say "I did what I should not have done, I Jammatized it". It's like it's trying tell you something. :)

Thanks for posting this. I like these arcade tour type videos.

Very nice. So if I understand correctly, the only machine that doesn't have an arcade monitor is the cocktail/jukebox? They look great! I assumed the multis ran on computer monitors. I am glad I was wrong!

That is correct. There are arcade monitors in all the cabs except the cocktail... the MAME's as well.

Again, Very nice!

You have given me inspiration to upgrade mine beyond just using the ArcadeOS frontend.

And brother, I know your tribulations with Battlezone, I wrestled with mine for a couple of years until I got it to where I was completely happy.

Nice looking games there and a wide selection (time period). Thanks for sharing.

What front-ends are you using for the two MAME cabinets?
