Assault Sideart from Atari Films Status?

Time to start the annual "Assault Sideart Status" thread.

My cab is fully restored as well as my control panel. Has a new Monitor and the game is working nicely. I have to install the multi kit from Matt and this will be complete but naked.

It is standing next to my repro Quantum and is jealous.

Need the sideart and the instrumentation panel decal that goes above the monitor bezel.

I'm looking for the sideart that will be made from the original Atari films from Scott.

Thanks for the update. We now know you are the guy we have our hopes pinned on. I have a scanned copy from an original piece I bought but since you will do it the way I'd prefer, I'll try to be patient. If you need the original piece for color matching, Jeff Rothe has it - let me know and I will ask Jeff to ship it to you when you are ready for it. Jeff also has the instrument panel I peeled from my cab if that will also help.

Bumping this.. was looking at my Assault cabinet and how worn the sideart is near the control panel.

Is this still coming up? Wonder if I need to budget for it. Thanks.

As long as we're wishing in one hand, I would like to see a small run of the marquees also.

People want nice overlays, sideart, etc..but aren't most of the translite/marquees very yellowed?

My marquee is also very yellow/brown. Hell I need that way more than side art.

I need a new Robot Monsters CPO more than either of the above tho.

So, Rich, you considering also doing the vinyl package?

I did my annual status update request on the general arcade forum but it is more appropriate to have it in this restoration section.

So if you are interested in Assault artwork from the original Atari films, please reply to this thread and I will add your name to the list.

Note that I am not the person who will reproduce this - just continuing my efforts to promote this project being done by one of the folks here on KLOV that do this. I saw a few other sideart presale project requests and the responses were underwhelming - I do not think this would be the case for Assault.

Will do and thanks. It would be great to get this one crossed off my "artwork bucket list" and get my Assault restoration completed. And there will be more than a few folks buying them.

OK, I'm getting really bummed out. When I see a preorder post for "Return of the Jedi" artwork it makes me wonder why we have been waiting so long. No slam on ROTJ owners, just jealous and wishing I would see the same post for Assault. This post has had 1,000 views so far - if 2.5% of the viewers signed up we'd have the 25 preorders being requested for ROTJ.

Another winter of depression; another season of discontent........
