Has anyone attempted to fill the roll pin hole that blows out on these with JB Weld or an actual weld, then redrill for the pin? I am thinking I might do this then rebuild when/if new shafts become available. I've even looked into what a cheap/crappy metal lathe might cost to DIY some and it just wouldn't make sense for me.

Hope to see these reproduced, but looking for a solution to repair the shafts so I can put the pile of parts I have together. I have NOS/repro of all the other parts that wear + joystick halves and housings.

Or.......drilling the hole out to the next size of roll pin that will accomodate the hole, and redrill the plunger the same..

You could take the part to a local metal shop and investigate the costs of making repros. I can't imagine a part like that costing too much to reproduce.

Mylstar has had a machine shop reproduce the parts we need. PM him. Strangely enough I just took apart my Assault sticks yesterday and just received a PM from Mylstar before I read your thread....

Oh wow.. well, I had kept checking back and his machine shop hadn't been able to work it in. I am glad to hear they were done!

If you know any really good welders and have access to a drill press and some way to secure them while drilling I'd go that route.

I doubt jb would work well. Roll pin would tear that shit up.

After some googlin', I think you're right. I do think drilling the shaft and pivot ball oversize and using a larger roll pin would work, but I'll wait a little longer and see what Stephen is cooking up.
