Got back a new die sample today. It is shown with one of the repro panels from Takeman, if a few people could look at this and confirm that we have it right this time.

I think everything is good to go here, I guess the one question is about the small notches for the start button hole. I have a repro cone on there and now and it covers the notches no problem.

Is there any reason to go with a round hole without the notches?

Thanks,
Anthony

I guess my only question is: why are the notches there at all? I don't see a problem with them (even if I didn't have a cone button, whatever I used would still cover them), but I don't understand their purpose. Do they make someone's life easier somehow (like mine, when I attempt to apply this thing?)

Thanks!

I believe the original Atari cones had notches on the bottom to keep them locked in place better. They are on the repro metal panel as well.

Any new updates on this? No rush, not bitchin', but the thought of getting my Assault pimped out is always in the back of my mind.
