Asahi Seiko parts (Nintendo Coin Mech)

http://www.asahiseikousa.com/product_info.php/cPath/2/products_id/22

I am stocking the U-shaped ones as well as the return cup shown at the bottom right of the page. The return cups I am only stocking the type that goes to these mechs...not the huge ones.

Just to be clear, both the small and large cups will fit on these mechs but like nesjess mentioned, I think they stopped selling the small cups. Unfortunately, it's the small cups (and U-shaped bugles) that Nintendo used stock on it's machines back in the 80s. If you can get the small cups that would be cool.

That being said, I'm in for some faceplates and probably some levers and associated parts too!

Did they have the small return cups in stock? I made an order last week and Dennis (Sales Rep) said they don't carry them anymore so I had to order bugles (U-shaped).

Well, originally I had been told that the large cups were the proper cups by Michael Sparto at Asahi Seiko. I posted on here that information and you said that I needed the small ones which were part number KMW-3034-10. That is the part number for what they consider the large cups. I had some cups from MikesArcade that look to be the correct ones. I called MikesArcade and left a message to have them contact me in regards to some of the Nintendo cabinet parts thay offered on the site. I was contacted by someone, I believe her name was Becky...but I don't really remember, and asked them what the size was on the return cups they stocked. She said she didn't know the dimensions of the base of the cup (the part that is flush with the mech faceplate). I then asked her if I could get the part number that they order or at least confirm that it was the large return cup. She got onto her computer and found the parts number and confirmed that they stock the large return cup that is the same as what was originally on the Nintendo cabinets.

I based my purchase from the information from everyone around and the only parts that did not coincide was the word "large." I bought the large return cups, part number KMW-3034-10. I guess we will see what happens when it gets here.

At 8:15 this morning my doorbell rang and the Asahi Seiko stuff had arrived. Everything is there but I am leaving for the weekend to go to my friends' wedding. I figured I would give everyone a little tease.

Now if someone has a picture of what the proper coin mech return cup looks like installed on a model 740 I will have something to show a comparison to on Monday. (nesjess, I know you have a pic somewhere)

Until then, everybody drool as I purposely didn't take pictures of the goods (this is a tease you know).

Phetishboy already posted a pic of the return cups earlier in this thread. The smaller one in the pic is what you're looking for. The same as what you see in JimKirk's picture.

Here's the ones on my DK. New faceplates, original push buttons and coin return cups:

I'm glad you're going to stock this stuff, I end up needing Nintendo parts all the time...

One question I've got though (lol) how did you talk MikesArcade into just giving you the part numbers so you could order the stuff and sell it yourself? LOL That's crazy!

You don't need to ask a third party for part numbers. You can just call/email the sales rep at Asahi Seiko and ask him what parts you need for which mech, 730-A (lever) or KWM-740 (push button). Then, he provides the corresponding part numbers for your order. But if you're a first time customer, you need to make a minimum $50 purchase to open an account, but that's not hard to do if you need a lot of parts.

Not to take business away from mikesarcade, but he charges $76.50 shipped for one complete mech. You might as well open an account at Asahi Seiko and order direct from the source. From what I remember, a complete mech costs around $40, but I'd have to ask the sales rep to confirm.

AS is amazing to deal with dirrectly. I've been on the phone with them also.

Also, you want the small return cups (KMW-3034-10 - $5.16 ea). The large ones are huge and not the right ones for these mechs.

Checked out the parts I ordered and for everyone's future reference. KMW-3034-10 is the part number for the large cups that are bigger than the originals. The originals are no longer available. My stock is of the larger ones. They still work and I will post pics of everthing tomorrow morning with prices.

I had actually purchased thier return cups just recently, before I had decided to stock them myself and called them and simply said I bought thier return cup about two months ago and was looking at the AS site and there were two cup sizes and wanted to know if they were stocking the original small ones or the large ones. She looked it up on her computer and told me they stock the large ones with the part number that nesjess stated. It was a little underhanded I admit, but I did buy $200+ worth of items from them about 2 months ago and I plan to continue to do business with them as they provide an excellent service when it comes to being a one-stop-shop for Nintendo parts. I am just focusing on one product (Asahi Seiko) and applying thier business model). I want to be a one-stop-shop for Asahi Seiko products and specifically help out the KLOV community. This is the only place that I will be selling these products so I don't imagine that I will effect MikesArcade's sales much.

@ Everyone: I am back and tomorrow morning I will update the first post with prices. I have too many pictures to put in the original post so they will be posted as new posts showong the kits and the new mechs and individual parts. I will kick things off tomorrow morning and will officially start selling this stuff. This first run is limited quantities as I didn't know what would be the popular items. I have a little of everything. If anything sells out quickly I will make a list of those to contact when I resupply. My costs are going to be slightly higher my second purchase on since Japan has raised the prices of some of thier parts and mechs. It's not too much so my prices on the second run and on won't increase dramatically. This isn't a supply and demand kind of thing. It's just going to be me selling everything for what I paid plus a few bucks for my trouble and you cover shipping and PayPal fees. Shipping will be in flate rate boxes so the rates will be immediately available to everyone and I will ship internationally too.

Do you have prices yet? I think I need a few levers, one U-bugle and about 2-4 of the cups. My mechs are the opposite of the pics you posted. When I have the levers, I have the larger return cups. When I have the push buttons, those mechs have the U-bugles.
